During a recent radio interview, I was once again asked THE question: Does ADHD really exist or is it a made-up disorder? While I sincerely appreciate the media asking the question to inform and enlighten listeners, I am saddened by the fact that so many people are uninformed, in denial or disbelief. The issues are real, the pain is real and the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young people with ADHD through coaching is real. I urge you to keep talking, keep reading, and keep moving forward as we move across the country and the world to enlighten and educate parents, professionals and young people about ADHD and related issues. Join me in Atlanta at the CHADD conference November 11-13 and learn more than you might imagine, connect with others who are facing the same struggles and be there to support those who are new to the world of ADHD. If you can’t make it to the conference, check out the MP3s available online shortly after the conference closes. www.chadd.org Thanks for supporting youth with ADHD!
