Young people with ADHD need feedback to help them learn and to feel good about themselves. Ask any adult with ADHD and you will hear the stories of being punished, ridiculed and misunderstood. Positive feedback was not considered a tool toward success. We know much more now and indeed, positive feedback, especially frequent, specific feedback is a great way to show children, teens and young adults that we care, we love them and that we support them through thick and thin.
