Moments of Gratitude and Thanks

In recent months, I have added moments of gratitude to the closing of my coach training workshops and include moments of gratitude in my daily life.  I used to toss around a few thoughts silently when things were not going well in my life or work.  It was a nice way to refocus on the positives and move forward with the day.  Then I realized that I always have something to be grateful for, so why not make each day richer with those thoughts. I coach to the positives and guide my clients toward moments of thankfulness, gratitude and joy. My hope is that those moments linger. As Thanksgiving Day approaches here in the U.S, I am thankful for the memories of my father carving the big bird and for the opportunities to create new traditions with my own family.  I am thankful that I don’t enjoy shopping and therefore will not have to get up at 4 AM to stand in line on Black Friday.  Of course, that makes me thankful for all that I have in my life making new possessions unnecessary and unimportant.  To quote one of my favorite New England authors and poets, Henry David Thoreau: I am grateful for what I am and have. My thanksgiving is perpetual… O how I laugh when I think of my vague indefinite riches. No run on my bank can drain it for my wealth is not possession but enjoyment. Wishing you moments of gratitude that linger and a very Happy Thanksgiving! All the best, Jodi
