I meet the best people through coaching! JoAnn Skinner is a stellar example of that. Many years ago, I had the pleasure of coaching JoAnn’s teenage daughter. When our coaching relationship ended, successfully I might add, JoAnn approached me and shared that she wanted to become an ADHD coach! This was great news on two fronts – one is that I knew JoAnn would make a wonderful coach, and two, I was in dire need of more coaches in my local area to coach teens and college students. JoAnn completed all the JST courses in 2009 and continued to expand her knowledge and skills while managing a thriving coaching practice, where she now coaches adolescents, college students and adults, including rising executives.
In 2013, I invited JoAnn to join the JST Faculty. She is a skilled trainer who is passionate about helping new coaches “learn the ropes”. She has an ear for good coaching and has been one of our top mentors. JoAnn is also working on a new series of business marketing tips to share in webinars with our readers. In her “spare time”, JoAnn serves on the board of the ADHD Coaches Organization (ACO) and in an active member of CHADD and a number of local and regional organizations here in Northern Virginia. She even manages to get a few games of tennis each week! I am fortunate to have found a wonderful coach, trainer and friend just a few miles away and trust that those of you who train with JoAnn will be better for the experience!
