What is the course delivery method/learning platform?
JST Coaching & Training uses Zoom, a state-of-the-art video conferencing service which allows all participants to be seen on video during class. Participants can also call in using the alternate phone number provided. We record each session for review and feedback by both participants and trainers. We use TalentLMS as our learning platform. Each participant will be provided with a log-in to TalentLMS to retrieve all course materials, Zoom log-in information and to post questions and self-study assignments throughout the course.
Do I need a computer?
You will need a computer to download course materials and submit self-study work to our online platform, TalentLMS. We prefer that you use your computer and webcam to log in to class each week, but you can call in to the phone line provided.
How many hours of dedication are required?
This depends on the individual and the course. Empowering Students Through Coaching requires approximately 3 hours per week plus weekly buddy coaching sessions. Allow for more time if you register later than six weeks in advance of the first class. Coaching Teens & College Students and Coaching Children trainings require 2- 3 hours total, including the buddy coaching sessions. The workload for each course decreases over time and we will make accommodations as needed.
Will you be (snail) mailing the class materials?
No, all course materials will be uploaded to TalentLMS and you will have access upon registration. All required text must be purchased at your expense. You may find these books in our online bookstore or you may purchase them at your local bookstore.
How much does the course cost?
Each of our courses has a different fee. We invite you to view our upcoming courses for current pricing. What’s the cost?
The fees are specific to the coach and the specific services provided. Please inquire directly with each coach. The general rule-of-thumb is $300-500 per month for weekly coaching and accountability check-ins. On average, coaching costs approximately $100 per week and most students stay with coaching for 6- 12 months.
How often does a coach meet with my student?
Generally, coaches meet with clients for 30-45 minutes each week, in person, by phone or Skype. In addition, they provide valuable accountability check-ins by text or e-mail between appointments.
Will a coach come to my home so they can see my student’s disorganization?
It is recommended that you talk with coaches to determine the scope of their service and if they provide in-home coaching. Our coaches report that it’s both cost and time effective to work from their offices versus in your home. The coaches discuss the issues with the students and can Skype or FaceTime to see the student’s space. Coaches gather valuable information without a home visit.
All coaches are individual business owners and are not employees of JST Coaching, LLC. We cannot verify additional training and experience of all JST Graduates
