Well, that is a good place to start, but not the best way to secure your data and protect your business. When I first started coaching, I kept all my client files in actual file folders in my desk (locked of course). Now I have all my business information secured in a database for ease of access from my desktop, laptop or iPhone.
In addition, my ENTIRE system resides on a cloud. I am not a computer expert, but I have experienced loss of data a few times over the years, which I imagine you have experienced as well. So… I looked around and found a cloud service which allows me to keep all my data safely “out there” and available on all my devices. What a relief! I can travel and have my entire system with me, no matter where I roam. Plus, when my desktop and external hard drive were being finicky last week, I knew my data was backed up on “The Cloud”. There are many options for cloud computing. Take a look and ask others for recommendations.
