Blog Block and Why We All Need Coaches

Well, for those of you who are prolific bloggers, I applaud you. My ideas are interesting, but when life and work are really busy, I don’t always make time to put those ideas on paper or post them on my blog. Trust me – I had great ideas this week! I thought about MLK’s “I Have a Dream” speech and all the opportunities we have to pursue our dreams and make a positive impact on the world. I cringed at my current work/life imbalance and asked myself what I was willing to change. I talked to my new business coach and  discussed the direction I want to “grow” my company. Where would I be today without a coach in my life? In a recent conversation with friends, I mentioned how valuable coaching is to me both personally and professionally. Coaches have pushed me, supported me, kicked me when I needed to be kicked and propelled me to where I am today – an author, a well-respected coach trainer, and a healthier person. Wow – the power of coaching! We all need a coach, a partner in times of growth, transition and certainly when we get stuck. As my coach pointed out to me, I am my business and if I want to be successful, I need to make choices that are good for my business AND for me. The two are not mutually exclusive and I cannot, I will not, ignore myself when planning for my next business “growth spurt”. How about you? Are you ready to connect with a coach and make positive changes in your life? Want to become a coach and support others to make changes in their lives? I look forward to hearing from you!
